Third Time Thru is a working Rock 'n Roll band made up
of a bunch of folks most of whom haven't given up their day jobs.
This year we almost had to close the T.T.T commune, where we practice all
day long, when Merri decided music couldn't be a full time career.
Keith moved in to the commune late in the year, but his full time
presence was way too annoying. We had Glenn conspire to get Keith to
leave the commune, quit the band and leave the state. Good work Glenn!
This year we went through bass players faster
than Spinal Tap goes through drummers. Speaking of drummers, in
a surprise move, aided by slight of hand, drummer Dave vaporized one Sunday.
He left the commune in order to pursue his day job: sailing.
What a fool. Little did he know. We are just about to make it big.
I guess he never heard of Pete Best. After a brief stint with weird Rick
on drums, we begged Dave to come back. Dave moved right back in to the commune.
That allowed us to keep it open for the time being. As of now we are almost done
breaking in yet another new bass player (Daniel Marks) in the ever growing
list of bass players. We're also experimenting
with adding a 2nd lead guitarist, Alan.
This year also saw us launch our recording career.

You probably know us from other bands we've
been in.
Some of us used to be with Merri and the 4 Skins. Bass Players: John Wolk, used to play bass with us. Unfortunately he had a lot of trouble remembering to come to practices. Last year a tribe of pigs flew over his house and stole all his equipment. So we had to let John go back to selling paint. (The pigs didn't steal the paint... it figures.) Ted Buckner
replaced John on Bass. Ted's a real musician who actually has
a gig with another
band
. Unfortunately Ted found he couldn't handle two bands. So he gave up
music entirely. |
We like to play together every few weeks. We'd prefer
to play more often, but its too hard to get us all in the same place
at the same time. When we run short of band members, Will (Man)
Williams might promise to come sit in (but he usually doesn't) or
Henry Miller plays drums with us if we get him a chauffeured
limo for the ride home afterwards. We won't play for you
however, unless you're in the family or ...![]() Our lineup includes 2 or 3 lead singers, 1 or 2 keyboard players, a bass player, a drummer, a lead guitar, 3 or 4 guitars, 4 back up singers, and 2 more guys that sing well enough that we're going to take up a collection and buy them some mics. In addition we've got a cowbell, a guerro, knockers (2 sets), tambourines, an egg and a banana! Between Glenn, Andy and Keith we've got the most amazing collection of electronic equipment you've ever seen in a band that plays as infrequently as we do. |

Or perhaps you'd like to hear some cuts from our new CD. Honkey Tonk Woman (the studio version) Runaway The Way Takin' Care of Business The audio are large MP3 files. So you'll need to be patient if you're not on a high speed connection and you'll need an application that can play Mpeg files. You probably have an application for Mpeg, but we don't know about your patience. |
